Old Chinese jade Double Camel carving, with 2 ravens on the humps. This very unusual Double Camel carving has been part of our personal collection for a number of years. This is Han Dynasty. What makes this old Chinese carving so remarkable, is that not only is it a double camel, but it also has ravens carved into the humps, along with the surface carvings of period style. This nephrite jade has the translucent quality that is a distinct characteristic of jade, and some surface recrystalization due to age and contact with the earth.
